MUSIC IS MY LIFE

Music is a gift given by the god to the man kind. Everywhere we can feel it. Such as from the human heart beat, wind, rain etc. Music not only depends on the notes but also it comes out our feelings. We can mix our thoughts with our voices beautifully. However there were so many music creatures in the world. Of cause, music spreads all over the world. Therefore it becomes as a global language with different voices, rhythms and languages. There are thousands of songs, singers, music bands in the today society. Music is a valuable treatment to the injured heart. As well as we can refer it like a medicine when we want such rest. Music can refresh our tired brains and get the great freedom. But unfortunately, some people try to destroy  the value of this music by selling to the coins. According to my opinion we should use the music to only the good things. Luckily, I got the big opportunity to interest the wonder of music through my higher study in the university. So, I would like to say if you want to success your life you can choose  the music as your friend.

MY AMBITION

Different people have different ambitions. We need to have an ambition in life. It is good  to have an ambition because than you can do something about it. Then you can get some results from it. As students you should dream of your ambition. As such, you must work hard to archive you aim. without making any effort you can get anything in your life. Some want to be doctors while other went to lawyer, engineers. Others dream of doing something important to the world in the field of creative arts, writing books, inventing new things. Some young girls want to become actresses either on stage or silver screen. I too have an ambition that is be a good teacher. I want to serve people. For my aim I work hard to pass university examinations well. I need enter the University. Then I will be a good person in the world.

MALIGAWILA

After the arrival of Arahat Mahinda Theo in Sri Lanka, Buddhist culture has developed. It was the period of king Dewanampiyathissa. As a result, hundreds of historical sites reflecting ancient Buddhist culture are found all over the country. One such historical site is Maligawila. It is in Monaragala district. Local and foreign tourists visit this place frequently. Maligawila is the best known for its huge free standing buddha statue of the country. It is 14.5 meters tall. It is discovered in 1951 in a dilapidated condition fallen, broken and broken into pieces. In 1990 the statue was raised and restored. 

MY SCHOOL

 My school name is Pitabeddara Secondry School. It is situated in Matara Discict in the Southern Province. It is a big school and mix school. There are classes from Grade 01 to Grade 13. There are about 3000 students my school. There is a play ground, Library, Staff room, Computer room, Art room, Dancing room, Music room and Laboratory room, Canteen, Activity room, Seminar room in my school. The building of my school is very beautiful green and spacious. It is a well equipped with several objects required for proper schooling. We attend our school every day. The children in our school are clever and they do very well at public examinations Most of them bring lots of credit to our school. I love my school very much.

The value of News papers.

In the modern world, the Newspapers have taken an important hold over us. We find a number of Newspaper in the three main languages Sinhala, English and Tamil. Some of the week end papers are Silumina, Rividina, Sunday Obesrver , Sunday times, Sunday leader, Lankdeepa and Lakbima. The word ''News'' stands of North, East, West and South. It is expected to carry information in all those directions. Not only information to also publishes- wedding and funeral notices, vacancies for jobs, domestic announcement, special articles on various subjects. It gives us notices of national interest , foreign news, sports and every other information. The newspaper bring us all these for a very cheap price. We can see that the newspaper can be a source of knowledge, entertainment  and relaxation to all its readers.

MY HOBBY

 There are so many activities I like to do. Different people have different hobbies. Of those my favourite hobby is Gardening. Whenever I have spare time, I go to my garden. My Garden is a very beautiful. There are so many plants in my garden. some of them are, fruits plant, vegetables, pepper plants, cinnamon plants etc. I see the little plants grow. I water them. I like it. I take care of them. They give me great joy Every morning I go to the garden and work. I root out  the unwanted plants. I have many types of fruits in my garden. I feel very happy to see the fruits. Small birds and butterflies came to my garden. My hobby gives me a lot of exercise too. I like my hobby very much.

BIRDS

Birds are the most innocent creatures that add beauty and variety to the animal life and wildlife of this plants. We open our eyes along with the thousand and one musical notes of the colourful birds in the drawn. We have a combination of aquatic birds near the fields and tanks. Some of them are storks, egrets, herons, water hens, spoon bills, purple coots and king-fishers. Some common birds such as crows, mynahs, seven sisters, wood peckers, parrots and chatterbox often associate close to our home environment. of those humming birds are the tiniest and the most fascinating specially with their hook like beaks. Though my country is a little island. we are rich with thousands of species of feathered creatures. Beat  nd owls remain calm and quit during the dat time., as they are nocturnal birds. 

WATER

💧 Water is a valuable resource. This is one of the three main requirements of man, for it is essential for the survival of man and animals. We get water from the Rain. There is a lot of water in the sea but we cannot use them. Water is a very useful to us. We use water for washing, cooking and bathing. Once, the great king Parakramabahu the great said, ''Not a single drop of rain should reach the sea without man making some of use of it. We generate electricity from water. Anyway water is really a wealth to be preserved. It should not go waste. It is a very pathetic still some people have not realized the value of this natural resource. Too much of feeling trees all another harmful act for the scarcity of Water. We must protect the water like our eyes.

Trees are our friends

 Plants and Trees are very important for the survival of all living creatures. The provide many things such as fresh air, food, medicine, wood etc that we need for our existence. But we are not grateful and do not take care of the mother nature. They are many people who destroy plants and fall trees without thinking of the effects this has on the  environment. In order to make quick money or in the name of development, valuable trees are cut down or random disturbing the ecological balance. It is a encouraging to know that many people now realize the importance of plants and trees that sustain us. The world we live in is becoming an unhealthy place for everybody. Plants are like the life blood of nature. We must therefore make it a point to save plants that sustain all living belongs.

SPORTS

Sports are very important. because they help to develop both body a mind. They make our bodies strong by giving them exercise. Strong and heath bodies in turn to keep our minds healthy. Todays most children are too busy with their studies. They have no time for play.  Children should be given a chance for sports and have fun.  There are many varieties of sports. some of them are, Cricket, Rugger, Netball, Volleyball and Swimming and etc. Some sports give practice in making eyes, brain and muscles work gather. This practice gives valuable training for life. Good sportsman or Good sportswomen have good qualities such as patience, courage and a sense of responsibility. I like sports very much.

VALUE OF READING

 One's a hobby must be enjoyable band valuable. We can enjoy over selves seeing beautiful sigh and hearing sweet sounds. Apart from that we can enjoy reading. That enriches our minds, though and feeling. Reading not only gives us pleasure but it also gives us knowledge of various thing and persons we can follow that world of though So reading is a very interesting. The famous writer '' Francis Bacon'' Says, ''Reading makes a full man''. It proves the reading improves our knowledge. We have a select books or any other articles. We can enjoy the books on literature, history, and various books on science and arts. They too have improved their lives by reading. In the modern world, we have to read books, magazines, papers etc. So we must be intelligent enough to choose better things to read and gain much. 

 

Dambulla

Dambulla is one of the places of historical importance in Sri Lanka. It is situated exactly 160kms form Colombo. It is situated at the vey end of North western province and the right begining of the north central province. Dambulla is the center of he culture triangle and  it is close proximity to all culture archaeological sites in the island. It is a city which has a great and glamorous value not only towards the history and the heritage of Sri Lanka tourists industry. Tourist who come to Sri Lanka never fail to visit Dambulla. Their main attraction are Dambulla historical temple and Sigiriya.  Sigiriya is situated about 10 kms away from Dambulla and the largest market of Sri Lanka is situated in Dambulla. 

SIGIRIYA

 The beauty of my little motherland enhances with numerous interesting locations. Of these I find Sigiriya as  a fascinating Place. It is a rock fortress, built by king Kashyapa who was a king with an artistic soul. according to the legends of the history, Sigiriya is the most suitable name for this particular rock . one has to pass his way to the summit, through the throat of a crouching lion. the murals of two women in the mirror wall are an enchantment to the visitors. still, the ruins of the palace can be seen on the surface of this rock. I find this place so interesting and wonderful as it has a valuable historical background.

THE SINHALA NEW YEAR

 The Sinhala New Year is the most enjoyable festival for all Sinhala Buddhist. Is a Sri Lankan holiday that celebrates the traditional new year of the Sinhalese people of Sri Lanka. New year is a important and traditional festival. They celebrate this festival on the 14th of April every year. The farmers are harvest their fields and store grain for the coming celebrations. We whitewash our houses and polish the floors. We begin to prepare oil-cakes and sweetmeats. One this day people spend the time visit the temple. They put on new clothes. The children light fire-crackers. The new year day is spent joyfully by all and we hope the next year still be a happier one.

GIRAFFE

My favourite animal is Giraffe. I like Giraffes the most because they are very innocent and very beautiful animals. Giraffe is the tallest animal in the world. They belong to the horse family and live in groups. They are mammals and herbivorous. Giraffe has a long neck and a huge body with light brown spots. They eyes are on both sides of the head. It helps them to see what is happening all around them. They have large pointed ears and can turn their ears to any direction. Giraffes are fast runners. They can run about 30 miles per hour. They run from side to get protected from animals who hunt them. The leader of the herd of Giraffes stays at the back of the group. Today, giraffes have a lost many of their lands and have become and endangered animal because of human activities. Humans have utilized many of the lands for dwelling and cultivation. Many states have taken steps to protect wild animal including giraffes. We all have a responsibility to protect wild life as it also a part of our lives.

A Trip to Kandy

 Last year we went on a trip to Kandy with my family members. My mothers sister living from Kandy.  We went to by van .This day first we went to my mothers sister home. We had our breakfast there. Next we went to the "Dalada maligaya" It is a historical place of worship for buddhist. We are very beautiful place. Next we went to the Nelligala temple in these day evening. The Nelligala temple is a very beautiful. It is a international Buddhist center and It is a popular site visited by both Buddhist and people.The gold colour budda it is a very beautiful.Next we went to Ranawana temple. It is a very important temple. We saw mountains, waterfalls,and many things. Finally we went to Ambuluwawa. It is a very popular place.The trip gave me pleasure. We are very enjoyble trip it very much. I never forget that trip.

Squirrel🐿️

 I have a lot of favourite animals. Of those my favourite animal is the squirrel. The Squirrel is a very innocent animal. Squirrel is a very small and tiny animal. There are around 280 different species of squirrel. They have long and bushy tail. They have black stripes on their bodies. They are brown and reddish brown or grey in colour. Squirrel mostly eat nuts,fruits and seeds. Squirrel have four large front teeth. These teeth are used for gnawing. Squirrels known for their movenments. They can make great leaps between branches. There are a lot of squirrels around our house. Whatever The squirrel are very cute animal.

Ananda Samarakoon

Ananda Samarakoon was born January 13th 1911 in a small village Liyanwela near Padukka. His parents Samuel Samarkoon and Doming pieris were Christians. The son was  Christened George wilfred. His first school was wewala government. Sinhala Collage. Later he was admitted to Christians Collage kotte. When he was in the school. Once his one patriotic song won in a competition between Nawala School and his school. Leter he entered Shanthinikethan,Thargores school of fine Arts in Bargal. In 1939 he recorded his first sons for HMV when his son died at the age of 5 he was heart broken. His song Namo Namo Matha was accepted as nathural Anthem in  22 nd of november 1952. Later the govenment changed first words from Namo Namo Matha to Sri Lanka Matha. So be was angry and frustrated and committed suicide on April  5th 1962.

My Fish Tank🐟🐋🐠🦈

 My father gave me a fish tank.😍  My fish tank is placed inside the house. It is a very very beautiful and it has many varieties of fish. I decorated my fish tank with corals,aquatic plants🍀,stones and oxygen filter 💦and lite.I brought gold fish,🐠cat fish🦈,honet🐟 and tank cleaner fish. But sadly the honet fish died to yesterday.😥Every morning i look at the fish tank for a while. I clean fish tank once a month. The fish tanks take a while to clean😴 but I liked it😍. People who come to our house say that the fish tank is very nice.When I give them food they swim up to eat it. I love to give them food. I love my fish and my fish tank.❤️

VESAK FESTIVAL

Vesak festival is a religious festival. It is celebrated during May, by Buddhist all over the world on this day. Many Buddhist celebrate the Vesak festival. Vesak day covers all three aspects of the buddhas Birth, enlightenment and pirinivan All Buddhist go to the temple, offer flower, light oil lamps and worship the buddha. Our family members are go to the temple on this day and We make beautiful Vesak lanterns and light oil lamps and Vesak buckets in the evening. Many people also decorate their houses with Buddhist flags and light bulbs for Vesak. Also Many people go to Dansal and go to the pandals. It is a very beautiful night. Small children are very happy. I like to Vesak festival. 

SOORTIN MARTIN CARTOON😅

Soortin Martin is a very interesting cartoon. It is a Hindi version but we watch the Sinhala version. It is in telecast in TV Derana. It is a very enjoyble cartoon. The main characters in the cartoon Soortin and Martin. The other characters are Samos seller, Inspector, Gramasewaka, John and etc. john is the thief in the cartoon. Soortin and Martin is the best friends.Soortin is thin and martin is chubby. And they are very good.😍Soortin is a very intelligent but sometimes they get in to the trouble. Martin's favourite food is Samosa.🌮 In every episode Soortin and Martin win while john gets defeated. It is a popular cartoon among children. ❤️

My best friend

 I have so many best friend. But, best of all my friend Ridmi Kaushalya. Ridmi and I are classmate and she is of my age. She is a very kind and very humble girl. We do many things together. She share our knowledge with other classmates too. When I need any help with my studies. She often stands by Ridmi is a very Clever and she is not proud. Ridmi favourite hobby is a vollyball.  Some times we are go to the travel.It is very enjoyble. However She is very good. I am very proud to have a good friend like Ridmi. 

MY GRAND FATHER😊

My Grand father name is Karunasena. He lives in Aluthgama. He is a Businessman. My Grand father is old. He is about 76 years. Yet he can see very well. He is a very very kind. He is get up early in the morning. and he is walks in the garden and he is the tress are planted. I think it is a good work.  He usually watches T.V. For most of the day my grand father is silent. because others are busy and have no time to talk with him. But we talk at night with him. he speaks slowly. Realy my grand father is very happy. He is very enjoyble. He some times goes for walks in different places. He is some times goes to the beach side in the evening. Realy he is very lucky.I love my grand father very much.❤️🤗

😜My Unforgettable Day😁🎁

There are kinds of memories that cannot be forgotten easily. One of these memories that cannot be forgotten easily. One of the memories in my Birthday party which is impossible me to forget. It's my 21st birthday. We were all home that day. That evening my mom made me a cake. It's a guitar. It is a very beautiful cake. My brothers told me you had no presents today. It is believe me. That day evening I cut the cake with my family members. Suddenly my mother brought a guitar instrument too me. I like guitar instrument. oh.... I could not imagine. I am very happy day. I am really happy. I will never forget that Day. 

MY FAVOURITE SINGER

There are so many favourite singer in my life. but my favoutite singer is Justin Bieber. He lives in Canada. He was born on 1st of march 1994. He is very young. Justin Bieber is a Canadian singer. He writes his own songs and he is a very very talented singer. He plays many Musical instruments such as Guitar, Drums, Piano and Trumpet. Justin Bieber  sings a lot of pop songs. I like pop music. ''Baby'' Song is my favourite beacuse it has a fast beat. I also like to hear the guitar sound. I think Bieber has cute face. I like what he wears. He looks casual and smart. When he speaks he is polite. 

😍TOURIST ATTRATTION IN SRI LANKA😍

Sri Lanka is famous throughout the world as a tourist paradise. There are many tourist attractions in Sri Lanka. Some of them are Waterfalls, Tanks, Wildlife Sanctuaries, Ancient ruins , Botanical Gardens, Sandy Beaches and etc. This places are very beautiful and very important. Ancient ruins are found in Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya and Yapahuwa. They are many waterfalls in Sri Lanka. some of them are Dunhinda, Diyaluma, Bopathella, Bambarakanda is the most beautiful in the Sri Lanka.We have many wildlife parks such as Yala, wilpattu and  Kumana. They are many picturesque water tanks too. The Minneiya tank and Parakkrama samudraya two such famous water ways. We have along belt of sandy beaches in the southern coast of Sri Lanka. Tourists and many people enjoy swimming and driving in blue waters. Also we have Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya, Haggala Garderns in Nuwara Eliya attract many tourists.We can be proud of the beauty of our country.

My country

  

 My country is Sri Lanka. It is an Island. My country in the Indian ocean. My country is knowns as the pearl of the Indian ocean. It is a very small but my country is a very very beautiful. Sri Lankan has 9 Provinces and 25 Districts. Sri Jayawardhanapura Kotte is the capital city of Sri Lanka. There are many beautiful places in my country. Such as  Ancient ruins, Diyaluma waterfall, Piduruthlagala mountain,Haggala botanical gadern and Rivers etc. Amoung them my favoutite place Haggala botanical gardern. It is a very beautiful places. Many tourist attraction in Sri Lanka and Many tourist visit my Sri Lanka. There are 22 million people lives in my country. They belong to many races and religions. The races are Sinhalese, Tamils, Muslims and Burgers. The religion are Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism and Islam. I Love my Country very much.❤️
